Meet Ann
Hi! I am Ann. As a master educator for almost 30 years, I have held many positions over that time. I was a classroom teacher in various independent schools for 25 of those years as well as served as a Math Specialist, Coach and Curriculum Coordinator, supporting and mentoring teachers. I have extensive experience tutoring students in math and other academic areas. And, I am currently the Education Director in a supplemental religious school.
My Story
I earned my BA from the University of Albany, with a major in Economics and a
minor in Business, and my MS in Special Education from Hunter College.
During my time in the classroom, I was always the go-to person when teachers needed help and ideas for teaching math, in addition to having served professionally in that role at various schools. As a classroom teacher, I loved teaching math skills and concepts using the rotational model and creating activities and math games to help differentiate instruction and practice. I strongly believe in teaching for understanding, and building foundational skills and concepts, to help students develop their math understanding. It has always been my goal to help teachers in transforming math education in their classrooms, finding ways to differentiate their lessons,
modeling teaching strategies, and helping design activities.

In my spare time, I love to walk, bake and spend time near the ocean.
