Lesson Planning

Do you feel overwhelmed and stressed when lesson planning for your math instruction?

Do you want to walk into your classroom with a plan of what to do, feeling confident that you can facilitate the learning in your classroom, manage multi-group lessons so that each child gets what they need?

Let's meet about the lesson planning support I can provide, using a tiered-template to help create your plans.

Math Centers and Rotation Stations

Teaching math using centers and rotation stations is one way to reach every student during a math lesson. And, this is something you can actually implement even if you are the only teacher in the room. Thoughtfully designing a teacher table and other independent work tables during a math lesson will help you in changing the structure of your classroom. Let me help you design this plan. You can even apply it to other academic areas of teaching.

Math Games

Math games are incredible ways to teach, learn and practice math skills and concepts. Helping to develop automaticity in math facts can be reinforced through playing games, such as Addition War or Product Tic Tac Toe. Deeper mathematical concepts can also be practiced through games, both with concrete items or online tools. I love finding math games that will align with a topic or particular lesson, as well as adapt or create math games to use in the classroom. I would love to help you with this.
